William A. Allen, 62, Idaville, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lafayette, where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been ill for a year. Born March 21,1917 in Taylor County, Kentucky, he was the son of Roy and Julie Brewer Allen. The father survives In Campbellsville, Ky.

His marriage Nov. 2, 1939, was to Mary Constant, who survives. He lived 40 years in White County, retiring after 32 years with RCA in Monticello.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Robinson, Burnettsville, and Mrs.
Shirley Clear, Camden; a son, Jerry, Forest, Ill.; four brothers, Lewis, Thomas and Roy,
of Campbellsville and Paul, of Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Garnett and Elsie
Allen, of Campbellsville; Mrs. Opal Warren of Aurora, Ill. and Mrs. Myrtle Druen of
Louisville, along with seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In the Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home In Monticello with Rev. Alvin Rockey officiating. Burial will be in the Idaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to9 p.m. today.
