Mrs. Julia Brewer Allen, daughter of the late Washington Brewer and Mary Alice Caulk Brewer, was born in Larue County, January 10, 1896. She died at the her home near Campbellsville, Route# 4, at 6 a.m. Friday, November 8 th, after a long illness. She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. , Sunday, November 10 from the Parrot & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, with the Rev. Walter Loy in charge. Burial followed in the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. On April 10 th, 1916, she united in marriage to Roy Allen Sr., and to this union five sons and four daughters were born, Lewis, Paul, Thomas Allen, Mrs. Wallace Garnett, and Miss Elsie Allen, all of Campbellsville Ky; Mrs Johnnie Druin of Louisville Ky, William Allen of Adairdale, Indiana, Mrs. Lonnie Warren of Aurora, Illinios, Roy Allen Jr, with the U. s. Army stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by three brothers and one sister, Andy Brewer of Taylor County Ky, Walter and Beckham Brewer, both of Coral Ridge, Kentucky, and Mrs. Eliza Brewer of this city, Route # 4.Two half-brothers, George Brewer and Elax Brewer, both of Larue County, Ky. Pallbearers were: Virgil Bell, Frankie Wright, Roy Bell, Bennie DeWitt, Inman Sprowles, and Richard Ratcliff.
