Born Sept. 15, 1919, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Myrtle Disler. The 1937 South Side High School graduate married Dale G. Augenstein on June 20, 1941. She was a member of the Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven.
She is survived by her husband, Dale G. of Fort Wayne; children, Ron (Jan) Augenstein of Springfield, Ohio, Robert Augenstein of Urbana, Ohio, Jean (Hal) Howard of Greenville, S.C., Stan (Lani) Augenstein of Fort Wayne, and Keith Augenstein of Fort Wayne; brother, Kenneth Disler of Fort Wayne; daughters-in-law, Jamie Augenstein of Flower Mound, Texas and Marlene Augenstein of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Augenstein; and siblings, Mable, Grace, Mildred, Roselma, Dolly, Buddy, Arthur, Ray, Delbert, and Willis.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Road, New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
