Barbara Colson, Lancaster Resident
Barbara A. "Bobbie" (Baker) Colson, 60, of 1324 Fremont St., died Tuesday morning at home of natural causes.
She and her husband, Charles W. Colson, were married 41 years Nov. 23.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Jennie Steele Baker of Neffsville and the late Nathan H. Baker.
She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, where she was the financial secretary and a choir member. She was the church secretary for 30 years.
She was assistant treasurer of the Lancaster Fireman's Credit Union for more than 20 years and was a Hospice of Lancaster County volunteer.
Surviving besides her husband and mother are two sons, Thomas J. and Charles W. Jr., both of Lancaster; four sisters, Mary E., wife of Russell Schober; Dorothy M. Kurtz; Dawn M., wife of Charles Herr; and Nancy J., wife of Anthony Vital, all of Lancaster; a brother, John W. Baker of Strasburg; a half-brother, M. Luther Baker of Columbia; a half-sister, Catherine Sener of Bellingham, WA; and three grandchildren.
Services from the Faith United Church of Christ, 1204 Wabank Road, Lancaster, on Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David L. Gockley officiating. Interment in the Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster. Funeral conducted by Charles F. Snyder.
