M. Esther (Baker) Lamparter, 76, of 856 Gail Place, died unexpectedly Monday night at her home. She had been under a physician's care.
She and her husband, Arthur E. Lamparter, observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 25.
Mrs. Lamparter was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Esther Gruel Baker.
Surviving besides her husband are a stepmother, Jennie G. Baker, Neffsville; a daughter, Joyce M., wife of Roland Nissley, Mount Gretna; a granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.
Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters: Catherine B, Sener, Bellingham, WA; M. Luther Baker, Columbia; John W. Baker, Strasburg; and Mary E., wife of Russell Schober; Dorothy M. Kurtz, Sarah L., wife of John H. Thatcher, Dawn M., wife of Charles Herr, Nancy J., wife of Anthony Vital, and Barbara A., wife of Charles Colson, all of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd., Lancaster on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald A. Spice officiating. Interment in Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
