Ida Elizabeth Albro was born in Linn County, Missouri, August 29, 1889. She died at Bremerton, Wash., March 4, 1968, at the age of 78 years, six months and four days.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Dennis, who moved to Fillmore County, Nebraska, in 1898. She had spent most of her life here since then, until 12 years ago, when she moved to Bremerton, Wash.

She was married to Stephen Bradley Albro, April 15, 1908. Eight sons and six daughters were born to them, Merle, Gertrude, Geniza, Gilbert, Lewis, Hubert, Francis, Dennis, Walter, Leonard, Charlotte, Margaret, Dorothy and Robert. Two sons, Hubert and Dennis preceded their mother in death, in 1921 and 1955. Her husband passed away December 19, 1950.

Mrs. Albro devoted her life to her family. She was a member of the Fairmont United Church of Christ. In her later years, she used some of her time doing embroidery work and making hooked rugs.

In her passing, Mrs. Albro leaves to cherish her memory, six sons, Gilbert of Fairmont, Lewis of Geneva, Walter of Forrest Hill, Md., Francis, Leonard and Robert all of Bremerton, Wash., and six daughters, Mrs. Harley Mitchell of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Hubert McClellan, Mrs. Edmond Ackerman, Mrs. Federal Bridgman and Mrs. John Gibson, all of Fairmont, and Miss Dorothy Albro of Bremerton; 28 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Geniza M. Eggleston of Sacramento, Cal.; two nieces, one nephew, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held in the United Church of Christ in Fairmont Saturday morning, March 9, Rev. William Reitmeier, the pastor, officiating. Mrs. Rex Plock sang "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Marvin Swartz was accompanist.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Gilbert Albro Jr., Rex Albro, William A. Albro, James Gibson, Roger Gibson, Kenneth McClellan, Larry Mitchell and Merlin Mitchell. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.

All of the surviving children were here for the final rites except one, Francis, who was unable to make the trip for health reasons.
