Funeral services for Dalton Lee Allen, 88, of Wichita Falls were officiated by Rev. Jack Dial, pastor of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls.

He and Dorcille Carr were married 25 April 1941 in Fort Worth.

He served in the US Army during World War II and worked for the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for 38 years before his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church.

Survivors: wife; two daughters - Sylvia Rue of Corrales, NM; Shirlaine Ware of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters - Ruby Kilpatrick, Dollie Swaim and Lillie Mae Hill; three brothers - Horace Allen, Osa Allen and Kirk Allen.

Graveside services were officiated by Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ.

Attended school at Jean, Texas. Allen entered the US Army in 1942 training at Camp Roberts, CA, Camp Cooke, CA; Fort Benning, GA; Fort Sill, OK; and Camp Gruber, OK.

Allen served in England, France and Germany. He was awarded the GCM and ETO.
