MRS. ROSA MUENNINGHOFF, WIDOW OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER, DIES - HAD BEEN ILL FOR A WEEK
Mrs. Rosa Muenninghoff, 79, widow of Joseph Muenninghoff, former magistrate and Jefferson County commissioner and buyer, died at 11:20 a.m. yesterday in SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs. Muenninghoff, who lived at 4223 Dixie Highway, Shively, had been ill a week. Her husband was a magistrate here from 1913 to 1917, commissioner from 1936 to 1940, and buyer from 1940 to 1944, when he died. He was superintendent of the composing room at the old Herald-Post from 1917 to 1936. A son, Bertrand A. Muenninghoff, is a City councilman for Shively and a composing room employee at the Courier-Journal and Louisville Times. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. George Kilijian and Mrs. W. P. Whalen; three other sons, Raymond J., Arthur A., and Richard F. Muenninghoff, and 16 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body is at Hardy Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway.

Whalen, Mrs. George Kilijian, Messrs Raymond J., Bertrand A., Arthur A. and Richard F. Muenninghoff. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. Remains at the W. G. Hardy, Shively Chapel, 4101 Dixie Hgwy. Funeral services Thursday, February 24, at 9 a.m. at the St. Helen Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, Ky. Members of the Altar Society will please assemble at the chapel Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. to recite the Rosary. Covington, Ky. papers please copy.
