MUENNINGHOFF, SHIVELY AIDE, DIES
Arthur A. "Cap" Muenninghoff, 48, died yesterday at SS. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. He had been director of public works for the City of Shively for the last 11 years. Mr. Muenninghoff, who lived at 1877 Farnsley Road, had been hospitalized about a week with a stomach ailment. He was the son of the late Joseph Muenninghoff, a Jefferson County commissioner, and a brother of B. A. Muenninghoff, who is a Shively City councilman. As director of public works for Shively, he was in charge of mechanical work on City vehicles, street maintenance and surface drainage. Mr. Muenninghoff at one time was a mechanic with the Army Corps of Engineers here. He was a member of the Shively Sportsmans Club and St. Helen Catholic Church. Other survivors are his wife, the former Miss Orene Walker; a daughter, Miss Betty Muenninghoff; two sisters, Mrs. George Kilijian and Mrs. W. P. Whalen, and two other brothers, Richard F. and Raymond J. Muenninghoff. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen Church, with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. The body is at the Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway.
