Mrs. Mabel Marie Walker, 85, died peacefully in her sleep on Feb 15, 2010, at her home in Fayetteville, N.C.
Mabel was born on July 2, 1924, in Longacre and was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Jane Perry. She was the last to survive of seven sisters and three brothers.

Surviving: husband, James Kenneth Walker; sons, Bill Perry of Fife, Wash., David Walters of Fayetteville, N.C., Keith Walters of Monroe, N.C., Frankie Walker of Raeford, N.C., and Andy Walker with the USAF in Korea; daughters, Sue Mentz of Raeford N.C., and Lynn Cremeans of Raeford, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 19, at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Pastor Gary Tucker and the Rev. Chester Bird officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at O'Dell funeral Home, Montgomery.
