FOREMAN, 49, FOUND DEAD INSIDE MINE

Alma D. Perry, 49, of Dixie, a Carbon Fuel Co. mine foreman, died last night while working at Decota mine No.4.
The cause of death was not known and an autopsy was to be preformed today at Charleston General Hospital to determine the cause of death.
Complete details of Perry's death were not available.
A Pryor Funeral Home ambulance driver said that Perry was found lying face down in a puddle of water in the mine after a cable had burned and sent miners from the mine.
He was a member of the Alta Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; five daughers, Mrs. Dorothy Slate of Hugheston, Mrs. Noami Hudson of Ward, Mrs. Leona Vigilante of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Glenna Walters of Manhattan,Kan., and Mrs. Ruby Hutchineson of Glasgow; two sons, Robert L. of Cleveland, Ohio and Harold E. Perry of Clearwater, Fla.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Perry of Hugheston; two brothers, Hurndin Perry of Decota and Ernest in the Navy; eight sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hamm, Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Hornsby of Hugheston, Mrs. Minnie Estep of Cannelton, Mrs. Evelyn Tucker of Hugheston, Mrs. Mable Walter of Smithers, Mrs. Edith Proctor of New Mexico, Mrs. Delores Fagan of Newport, R.I. and Mrs. Allie Woodrum of Buffalo; and 16 grandchildren.
Cook Funeral Home at Cedar Grove is in charge of arrangements.
