He was born March 25, 1927 at Neuchatel, the son of Tom and Ruth Summerville Edman.
Gump was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the combat engineers for two years at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. He spent most of his working life helping the Graf family on their farm.
Survivors include one brother, Bill Edman, Lawrence; and five sisters, Florence Ascherman, Blue Rapids, Peggy Eisenbarth, Seneca, Gladys Edman, Topeka, Opal Noland, Hoyt, and Valerie Brown, Wichita.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27th at the Neuchatel Cemetery. Gump will lie in state at the Tessendorf-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga where family and friends will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
