Donald Edman, 31, a popular young man of the Neuchatel community, was fatally injured Saturday afternoon when a tractor overturned with him while he was mowing hay. He was brought to the Onaga hospital where he lived only a few years.
Donald Aaron Edman was born near Onaga, Kansas, on Sept, 22, 1922, and departed this life on Aug. 29, 1953 at the age of 30 years, 11 months and 7 days. He was a veteran of World War II and had a record of six years of service to his country.
Surviving him in death are his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edman; two sisters, Beulah Gatson and Golda Dillman, of Topeka; six half-sisters and three half-brothers; Andrew Edman, Opal Noland, Valoria Edman, William Edman, Gladys Edman, Florence Edman, Peggy Ann Edman, all of Onaga; Elton R. Edman of Elgin Air Force Base, Florida and Viola Tims of Paponville, Miss. Also one niece, Connie Noland, Onaga and one nephew, Alan Dillman of Topeka.
Preceding him in death are his mother and one brother, Wilbur Otis.
Funeral services were held at the Tessendorf Chapel on Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. M. H. Marshall. Burial was in the Neuchatel cemetery.

Landes, Melvin Landes and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dillman, Mrs. Buelah Gatson, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dillman, Mr. Howardson, Mrs. Clare Zimmerman, Mrs. Kathryn Clark and Leo Mercher of Topeka; John Chapman, Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. John Maskil and Arnold, Vermillion; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stfifler, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Reese, Oliver Maskil all of Westmoreland; Mr. and Mrs. Merril Talley, Woodlawn; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Switzer and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Switzer, Goff; Pfc. Elton Edman, Elgin Air Force Base, Florida.
