Mildred A. Droll, 85, former Spirit Lake resident, died June 29 at her daughters home in Indianapolis, Ind. She was creamated in Indianapolis and the urn of ashes was flown to Glendale, Calif, where they will be scattered over Santa Monica Bay, where her husband Ray's ashes were also scattered.

Surviving are five daughters, Leah Jane Grasman of Willmar, Mn., Peggy McFarland of Indianapolis, Ind., Evelyn Helt of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Molly Matricia of New Hammond, Ind. and Nancy Ann Reymonld of Huntington Beach, Calif., sons Raymond Droll of Delano, Calif., and John Droll of Everly, Iowa, 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brothers John T. Baker of Spirit Lake and Edgar B. Baker of Coon Rapids and many nieces, nehpews and cousins.

She was born Sept. 17, 1900, the youngest child of Alminnie and John T. Baker, Sr. She married Raymond L. Droll April 12, 1917 at Estherville. She was educated in Spirit Lake, where she played piano at the Spirit Lake Theatre and played with several dance bands. The Drolls celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in Downey, Calif.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ray, her parents, four sisters and four brothers.
