Elisa Hausler, nee Anliker, was born Dec. 6, 1858, in Switzerland. She attended school and was confirmed in Switzerland.
She was united in marriage with John Hausler. This union was blessed with 7 children, 3 sons and 4 daughters. Two sons and one daughter have already preceded her in death.
The family left Switzerland and came to America in 1891, settling in Ford county, Il. Mr. Hausler passed away in Illinois quite a number of years ago leaving the widowed mother to carry on alone. She came to Iowa with her family in 1903 settling near Fairbank. Since 1925 she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Wierck, southeast of Fairbank.
During all the years that she lived around Fairbank, she was a faithful member of her church and was regular in her attendance as long as her strength permitted. Her last illness began several months ago. She fell asleep in her Savior last Friday, Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m., at the age of 83 years.
She leaves to mourn her departure, one son, Hans Hausler; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Wierck; Mrs. Salome Neil, all of Fairbank, an Marie Hausler, Walker, Minnesota; 7 grand-children; two brothers, John Anliker, Seattle, Wash., Hans Anliker, Sibley, Il; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Lanz, Royal Center, Ind., Mrs. George Young, Union Mills, In., Mrs. Ernest Zing, Walker, Mo.; besides a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in St. John's Lutheran church Monday a 2 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. H.J. Heilman. Burial in teh Fairbank cemetery.
