Mrs Emilie Anliker Hiigli, 72, living two miles south of Union Mills, died at her home at 7 o'clock last night following an illness of 36 hours with a complication of diseases.

She was born in Switzerland Aug. 20, I865. She had lived in this county 35 years, coming to this county from Illinois. On Feb. 28, 1889 she was united In marriage at Fairbury, Ill., to John Hiigli who preceded her In death. Mrs. Hiigli was a member of the Reformed Lutheran church.

She is survived by three sons, Fred and Ernest Hiigli, of Union Mills, and John Hiigli of Chicago; six daughters, Mrs. Emma Bowmar, Garrett, Ind., Mrs. Leta Wagner and Mrs. Hilda Marsh of La Porte, Mrs. Lillian Faris of Wanatah, Miss Rose Hiigli and Miss Martha Hiigli, both at home; 12 grandchildren. Besides her husband, one son, Arden, and one daughter, Mrs Fanny Wiesjahn, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at the Kosanke Brothers chapel in Union Mills Monday at 2, Standard time, the Rev. Harry Parker of Delphi, Ind., officiating. Burial will be in the Union Mills cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Kosanke chapel this evening and until time for the funeral.
