COALVILLE
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Summit Stake House for Parley A. Powell, former North Summit School teacher and resident of Upton.
Mr. powell, 74, died Sunday of natural causes at the home of a daughter in Salt Lake City.
He was born April 27, 1886 in Pineview to Edward and Rachel Anderson Powell. He married Olive Cox, June 1, 1910 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. He was a school teacher for 36 years. He was an active church member.
Survivors include his widow; sons and daughters, Walter C. Powell, Mrs. Wilbert (Esther) Anderson, Mrs Charles (Nancy) Frost, Salt Lake City; John F. Powell, Ogden; C. Emerson Powell, Tooele; Parnell E Powell, Provo; forty grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Edward, Albert, Salt Lake City.
Burial was in the Upton Cemetery.
