Hugh Salmond, 70, of Kelvington. Bom in Otterdale County, Minn., he came to Canada in 1911 to Lake Lenore. He moved to Kelvington in 1956. During the First World War he served with the Princess Pats 214th Battalion, and was wounded at Vimy Ridge. He was a member of the United Church.

Survived by his widow, two daughters and two brothers.
