Mass City -- Henry Keranen, 85, of Mass City died Friday, Sept. 2, 1988, in Ontonagon.
Born April 10, 1903, in Atlantic Mine, he was the son of Adam & Maria Keranen.
On March 24, 1924, he married Ina Hendrickson. She died in April of 1941.
In Sept. of 1954, he married Sylvia Myllymaki.
He was employed with the Ontonagon County Road Commission for 31 years, retiring in 1964.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia; 3 daughters, Mrs. Pearl (R0bert) Kingsbury of Pontiac, Mrs. Lorraine (Walter) Lobdell of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Jean DeWight of Sout Lyon; a son, Henry E. Keranen of Greenland; three step-sisters, Alma, Martha and Anna; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert.
The Allen Crane Funeral Home will open for visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Nacey officiating. Burial will be in Rousseau Cemetery.
