Leonard Vail rites Monday
Leonard Holden Vail, age 68, 821 S. Oak, died Friday in MediCenter of America hospital in Oklahoma City about 4 p.m. He was born in Sullivan, Ind. Jan. 9, 1905.
He was a retired groceryman and farmer. He came to the Hulsey community about 1913. He had lived in Holdenville since 1952.
Survivors include: his widow, Hattie Vail of the home; four sons, Leonard Ray Vail of the home, Larry William Vail, Galveston, Tex.; Floyd Jimmy Vail, Oklahoma City; Ralph Dean Vail, Garland, Tex.; five daughters: Imogene Corneluis, Kansas City, MO.; Virginia Lee Bishop, Oklahoma City; Krystine Slayton, Fremont, Calif.; Cytha Lou Simpson, Shawnee; Neoma June Epperley. Garland, Tex.; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Vail, Bentonville, Ark.; Ralph Vail, St. Petersburg, Fla.; One sister, Lillian Mayo, El Paso, Tex.; one aunt, Lillie Barton, Commerce.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Sembly (sic) of God church with Rev. R.D. Whalen, Oklahoma City, officiating. Rev. Doyle Ellingsworth and Rev. Stanley Holliman, Holdenville, will assist.
Burial will be in Holdenville cemetry under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home.
