CHILD DROWNS AT NEW HAVEN IN ROLLING FORK - ANDREW HALL GOES SWIMMING. BODY IS RESCUED BY ERROL JOHNSON - ST. CATHERINE'S PUPIL - ANDREW HALL, the 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Hall, of New Haven, was drowned this morning about seven o'clock in the Rolling Fork River near the L&N Railroad bridge. Mrs. Hall had taken her son to New Haven, where he was attending St. Catherine's parochial school; and left him on the street. Before time for school he met with three little boys, Henry Cecil, Johnson Rogers and Richard Mudd, and the four boys decided to go swimming. Andrew was the first to reach the water and for some unknown reason sank beneath the surface and was drowned before the other boys hardly realized what was happening. They hurried up town to give notice and Mr. Errol Johnson rushed to the place and rescued the body of the child. Dr. J. A. Greenwell was called at once and did all within his power to resuscitate the child, but without avail as life was already extinct. Besides his parents he is survived by five sisters, Pauline, Joan, Martha, Theresa and Regina Hall; and three brothers, Marvin, Lawrence and Gerald Hall.
