Obituary
BROWNING, THERESA ESTELL, formerly HALL, 95, passed away in her home with her family by her on January 2, 2018. She was born on September 14, 1922, the fifth of fourteen children to Alvah and Estella Hall of New Haven, Kentucky.

She was the loving wife of 63 years to James "Bud" Browning (deceased). She was the loving mother of nine children; Sharon Hedden (Lonnie) , Jim Browning, Jr (deceased), Jerry Browning (Linda), Denny Browning (Luella), Rick Browning (Jennifer), Becky Browning, Judy Brown (Mike), Mary Beth Browning (deceased) and Theresa Seay (Hank Adams). She took great delight in her 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was a sister to her thirteen siblings and is survived by Larry Hall of New Haven and Joyce Greenwell of Bardstown.

Theresa graduated college from Mount St. Joseph Academy in Owensboro, Kentucky and proudly served in the United States Navy as a WAVE during World War II. She was a chartered member of St. Gabriel Parish where she spent many years cooking in their cafeteria and serving lunches to so many children. Her greatest pleasure was sharing laughter and stories with a house full of family, playing the slots, sipping a cold margarita and enjoying an afternoon on her carport swing. Our faith, memories and love for her will bring us much comfort and laughter.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Rd. followed by a chapel committal service at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation is 3:30-9 pm. on Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Gabriel the Archangel.
