Arthur E. Burks, 75, of Tuscumbia died Saturday, July 12, 1986, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Tuscumbia to Hasten and Agnes Agnew Burks. In 1930 he was married to Dorothy Ann Wilson who survives.
Mr. Burks was retired from Pryor Novelty.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Dexter Burks of Girard, Kans., Jerry Burks of New Bloomfield and Alan Burks of Newton, Kansas, three daughters, Mildred Holtmeyer of Kansas City, Kansas, Dixie Barnhart of Claycomo and Patsy Clark of Lebanon, a sister, Mary Eickhoff of Mexico, Mo., 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Graveside rites were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Stevinson Mossman Funeral Home.
