Mildred L. Holtmeyer, age 89, of Laurie, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.
She was born February 17, 1931, in Tuscumbia, a daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Wilson) Burks.

On July 20, 1948, in Eldon, she was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Joseph Holtmeyer, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2017.

Mildred retired from Tension Envelope Company in Kansas City, Missouri after many years of employment. She enjoyed spending time gardening, fishing and most recently, putting puzzles together.

For many years, she was an active member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie.

She is survived by her sister, Pat Clark and husband Floyd of Lebanon, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Alan Burks, Dexter Burks, Jerry Burks and Dixie Barnhart and a special brother-in-law, Winfred “Buddie” Holtmeyer.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Laurie with Father John Schmitz officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cookie Angels, 1752 Highway 52, Tuscumbia, Missouri 65082.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
