Arthur T. Sheets
Arthur T. SHEETS, 58, 501 West Third street, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his residence at 1:45 p.m. today.
A lifetime resident of Rochester, he was born Dec. 17, 1909, in Rochester, the son of Lewis Clay and Lina JOHNSON SHEETS. His marriage was June 18, 1942, in Argos, to Laura Lee CAMPBELL, who survives.
Mr. Sheets was an employee of the Public Service company 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist church, and the Rochester Eagles, Moose, and Masonic lodges.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Joyce) SMILEY, Rochester; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) READ, and Miss Martha SHEETS, both of Rochester; three brothers, Donald [SHEETS], St. Louis, Mo.; Dee [SHEETS], Seattle, Wash., and John [SHEETS[, San Bernardino, Cal.
Final rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Donald LAMBERT will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday where Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday.
