•Obituary-Mt. Hebron-Mrs. Mahala Graham, aged 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Millard Rogers, on the 7th, after several days illness.
She was a member of the Baptist church at this place for many years, and had always lived in this community. She was the mother of 15 children, six of whom survive her; Mrs. Millard Rogers, Messrs. Wm., Allen, Ben and Lish Sherrow, all of this place and Mr. J.E. Sherrow, of Nicholasville. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. I.W. Manly Wednesday at 11 o'clock, interment following in Mt. Hebron cemetery. Much sympathy is extended the bereaved ones.
Note: The informant, on the DC, reported Mrs. Graham's year of birth as 1837, which is closer to census enumerations than the YOB inscribed on her headstone. The birthday party article documents that her YOB was 1838.
