Mrs. LaFon

Mrs.Lucy Bailey LaFon, 72, wifeof J.E. LaFon, died at 4:45 p.m., Wednesday at her home, 1200 West Oklahoma avenue, following an illness of about four years.

A resident of Arkansas City since 1931. Mrs. LaFon made her home at the present address for the past 13 years.

Born July 1, 1875, in Drum county, Wis., she was married March 1, 1896 in Lawrenceburg, Mo. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1946.

Survivors include the husband, three daughters, Mrs. Frona E. Shahan of Arnett, Okla., Mrs. Vena J. Malloy of Covington, Okla., and Mrs. Viola E. hale of Winfield, three sons, S.J. LaFon of Tulsa, W.R. LaFon of Winfield, and S.F. LaFon of Lucien, Okla., three sisters, Mrs. Java L. Fimple of Las Animas, Colo., Mrs. Sylvia Graces, Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs Ina Marshbanks of Bell, Cal., one brother, Harvey T. Bailey of Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren and one four great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two children, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday at the chapel of the Jess Rindt Mortuary with the Rev. Dayle Schnelle of the Central Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
