OBITUARY
Mrs. Lucinda Clingermon (Klingman) Bailey was born in the state of Indiana, on June 6th, 1874. She departed this life on January 17th, 1931, at four o'clock in the afternoon in her home in Leedey, at the ripe old age of eighty-three years, seven months and eleven days.
When she was small the family moved to Menominee Wis. She came with her husband to Oklahoma thirty-three years ago last April, and has lived in the town of Leedey for the past eighteen years.
As a young girl she was converted and joined the M. E. church. She lived a devout christian life to the end.
She was married to John J. Bailey on February 12th, 1866. To this union eleven children were born. Her husband, one son and two daughters have preceded her to their reward in the great Beyond.
She leaves to mourn their loss three sons: J. D. Bailey, of Leedey; J. N. Bailey, of Shamrock; and H. T. Bailey, of Colorado; and five daughters: Mrs. Lucy Lafon, of Covington; Mrs. Eva Penry, Mrs. Sylvia Graves, Mrs. Ethel Barrier, and Mrs. Ina Porter(Potter), all of Leedey.
There are thirty-seven grandchildren, thirty great grand children and a host of nieces and nephews and old time friends to mourn their loss.
At 2:30 P. M. January 21st, her funeral sermon was preached by Rev. C. M. Oursler, in the Leedey Methodist church.
