Mrs Mary E Brannon Dies
In Zanesville, November 15
Mrs Mary E Brannon aged 69 a former resident of Monroe Township died at the home of her daughter, Mrs G W Appleman in Zanesville, Saturday 15 November, after a week's illness. The deceased was the widow of Leander Brannon, who died five years ago and resided in Guernsey County previous to her moving to Zanesville. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are the following children, Melvin of New Lexington, James of Buffalo, New York, Mrs Appleman, Mrs Frank and Lester of Zanesville. She is also survived by one brother Jacob Thresh of Otsego, four grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Adams Township, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev W M Hackenberg, Pastor of St John's Lutheran Church Zanesville, assisted by Rev J Barthelmas, Pastor of the Adamsville Lutheran Parish. Burial was made in the church cemetery in charge of undertaker, H E Shirer of Adamsville.
