Archie Monroe Berry died Monday afternoon at two o'clock, at his home near Spring Hill after a long illness.
Mr. Berry was born July 23, 1881 a son of the late James M. and Mary Catherine Cox Berry.
He was engaged in farming near Spring Hill his entire life. He was a member of the Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vata Root Berry; a daughter, Nancy Hiner of Staunton; and two sons, Fred R. Berry of Staunton and J. Edwin Berry at home. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body rests at the Hamrick Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
