Elizabeth Parks Barnes, age 100, of Lenoir City, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ October 13, 2009 in Lenoir City, TN.

She was of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith, a member of the Fayetteville church since 1948, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years, a 1929 graduate of Central High School, and a loyal employee and supervisor at Serbin Mfg. Co., later known as S&M, for 34 years before retiring April 13, 1981.

Preceded in death by her parents Ottmah "Ottie" and Lillian Cashion Parks, brothers Henry, James "Slick", Fred, and Bailey Parks and sister Rachel P. Chandler.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Douglas and wife Shannon of Fayetteville, daughter Gayle B. Bowman of Lenoir City, TN, grandchildren Doug and Steve Barnes of Akron, OH, Sheryl Stevens of St. Charles, MO, Shannon Bowman King of Hillsborough, NC, and Loren C. "Tad" Bowman of Highlands Ranch, CO, great-grandchildren Andrew and Amanda Stevens, Josh Barnes, Sydney, Aiden Bowman, and Carl and Alex King, and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Hughes officiating. Internment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
