James T. (Slick) Parks, formerly of Fayetteville, died last Thursday at his home in East Point, Georgia. He was 63 years old.

Services were Friday at Carmichael Funeral Home in East Point and on Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Kenneth Davis of Atlanta and Dr. Wayne Wiman of Fayetteville officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Mr. Parks was born in Lincoln County. Until his retirement three years ago, he had been employed by Atlanta Dairies as an engineer for more than twenty years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Daves Parks; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes of Fayetteville and Mrs. Rachel Chandler of Decatur, Alabama; two brothers, Fred Parks of Mulberry and Bailey Parks of Petersburg.
