The funeral was Dec. 17 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. David Watson and the
Rev. Howard Haynes officiating. Burial was in Mulberry Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Ottie and Lillie Cashion Parks.
Mr. Parks was a former Lion Oil Distributor and a long time farmer of the Mulberry
community. He was a deacon in the former Mulberry Cumberland Presbyterian Church and at the time of his death was a member of the Fayetteville Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Wilson Parks; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Ellen Neal of Mulberry; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Chandler of Decatur, Ala. , and Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes of Fayetteville; a brother, Bailey Parks of Petersburg; and seven grandchildren.
