Mr. Jesse C. Maddox, beloved husband of Mildred Leopard Maddox, of Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Friday September 12, 2003, at his residence. Mr. and Mrs. Maddox would have been married 65 years in February of 2004. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2003, at Marks Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Stroup and Rev. Hal Hodgens officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors include his son, Calvin and daughter-in-law, Sylvia Maddox, Augusta; his daughter, Linda Maddox of Augusta; three sisters, Thelma Brown, Grovetown, Mary Lawton, Gainesville, Ga. and Sarah Rainwater of Union Point, Ga.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
