Williamson H. Terry was born 23 August 1841 in Chambers County, Alabama. He was the son of John Thomas Terry and Julia Brooks. Williamson enlisted in the Confederate Army 26 April 1861 and was assigned to Company B, 4th. Regiment Georgia Infantry. This unit was also known as the LaGrange Light Guards. While in service Williamson died in Norfolk, Virginia on 22 July 1861 of Typhoid Fever. He is buried in Freeman Cemetery (also known as Terry Cemetery) in Troup County, Georgia.
