Mrs. Maybelle (Shelton) Haddox, age 92, of Winnfield, La., passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield where she was active in the Tri-L Sunday School Class, the WMU, and Keenagers activities. Mrs. Haddox was devoted to her family. She taught for 30 years in the Winn Parish School System and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teachers society.
Mrs. Haddox was the daughter of the late James Monroe Shelton and Tamer (Luther) Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bluch Haddox; and her brother, Ralph Shelton.
She is survived by her
One Daughter, Brenda (Haddox) Etheridge of Winnfield, La.
Two Grandchildren, Dawn (Etheridge) Rogers and husband Bill of Winnfield, La. Trey Etheridge and wife Jessica of Searcy, Ark.
Three Great Grandchildren, Kaci and Kali Rogers Kaitlyn Etheridge
One Sister, Florence Collins of Winnfield, La.
One Brother, Leo Shelton of Winnfield, La.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2008 and from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Winnfield at 10:00 AM Tuesday, with Rev. Trey Etheridge, Rev. Stephen Laughlin, and Rev. John Holland officiating. Interment will be at Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.
Steve Shelton, Dr. Mark Shelton, James Lloyd Collins, Shelton Collins, Frank Mobley and Jim Andre will serve as pallbearers.
