Mrs. Collins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield where she was active in Keenagers and the Joyful Works Sunday School Class. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed crochet.
Mrs. Collins was the daughter of the late James Monroe Shelton and the late Tamar Luther Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her husband G. M. Collins, grandson Stanley Marlin Collins, and brother Ralph Shelton. Survivors include her daughter Bobbie Jean Mobley and her husband Frank of Winnfield, two sons Shelton Collins and his wife Jackie of Winnfield, and James Lloyd Collins and wife Brenda of Bossier City, five grandchildren Alan Mobley of Pineville, Jeanine Ford of Winnfield, Diane Mobley of Pineville, Darren Collins of Cabot, Ark., and Dana Little of Frisco Texas. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, Melissa Mobley, Brian Mobley, Sean Ford, Wade Tracy, Erin Tracy, Cody Collins Krissy Reynolds, Tucker Collins, Taylor Collins, Tanner Collins, Tyler Little, and Hunter Little, and also two great great grandchildren Sarah Reynolds and Shelby Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the First Baptist Church of Winnfield with Reverends John Holland and Dick Debusk officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Thursday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Alan Mobley, Darren Collins, Brian Mobley, Sean Ford, Wade Tracy, Tucker Collins, Cody Collins, and Glenn Ford.
