JEWEL R. HUNNICUTT PICKENS CARTER

Rev. Finis Steelman officiated at funeral services held at the Immanuel Baptist church on Nov. 27 for Jewel R. Hunnicutt Pickens Carter, 63, who died at her home on Nov. 25. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Bahner-Fox Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 18, 1917 at Mount Pleasant, Texas, she had lived in Davis most all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy C. Pickens, in 1948 and George Carter in 1962.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Hunnicutt, Davis; three daughters, Mrs. Dorthy Maloney, Davis, Mrs. El Ray Anderson, Lindsay, and Mrs. Linda Price, Houston, Tex.; three sons, Bobby Pickens, Earlsboro, Carroll Carter, of the home, and Carl Carter, Davis; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Pickens, Mrs. Bessie Penner and Mrs. Zelma Rogers, all of Davis; seven grandchildren, Ken, Len, and Tammy Anderson, Chad and Lance Pickens, Rick Jones and Tim Maloney; and one great granddaughter, Toni Jones.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Ken Anderson, Len Anderson, Rick Jones, Tim Maloney. And also Larry Ealey and Buck Wilson.
