CARROLL CHRIS CLIFTON CARTER
Carroll Chris Clifton Carter of Davis entered this life July 29, 1953, to George Edward Carter and Jewell (Hunnicutt) Pickens-Carter in Sulphur. He quietly entered into rest in his sleep at his home June 21, 2007, at the age of 53 years. Graveside services were Monday, June 25, at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with the Rev. Randall Chapman officiating.
After attending Woodland School until its closing, he graduated from Davis High Schools in 1972. Later, he served in the Armed Services, drove 18-wheelers and ran his own business. Carroll lived most of his life in the Davis area but lived several years in Shawnee and Houston, Texas. Caroll's great sense of humor and generosity to others will be missed by his family, friends and others who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Carl "Tee" Carter, and a sister, Dorothy Pickens Maloney.
He is survived by: two sisters, El Ray (Pickens) Anderson and husband, Charles, of Davis and Linda (Pickens) Price and husband, Ben, of Huffman, Texas; a brother, Bobby G. Pickens of Pauls Valley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were under the direction of Krien Funeral Home of Davis.
