1967 - Obituary - Charlottesville, Virginia "The Daily Progress" - October 19, 1967 - Richard Sprouse - FREE UNION - Richard Elmer (Buck) Sprouse, 70, died today in a Charlottesville hospital. Born in Albemarle County on Nov.. 2, 1867, he was the son of the late John M. and Cora Thomas Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse, a retired carpenter and farmer, was a member of Mount Moriah Methodist 'Church at 'White Hall. He is survived by three brothers, Johnny M. Sprouse of Richmond, Louis A. Sprouse of Richmond and Ellis A. Sprouse of Crozet; and four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Baldwin of Richmond, Mrs. Blanche Garrison of Richmond, Mrs. Agnes P. Lites of Charlottesville and Mrs. Nellie Davis of Free Union. The funeral will be at 2 p.m Saturday, at the Mount Moriah Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Preddy-Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
