Mrs Joseph H. Shiflett - Mrs Bryana Frances Shiflett wife of Joseph H. Shiflett of Free union died Thursday night at a local hospital. Mrs Shiflett was a daughter of the late James M. Sprouse, of Albemarle and was thirty-six years of age. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son Joseph W. Shiflett. She also leaves her mother, Mrs Mary Sprouse, four sisters and five brothers - Mrs E. M. Baldwin of Richmond: Mrs. Earl Garrison of Eastham: Mrs H. E. Ward of Ivy: Miss Nellie Lee Sprouse and R. E., C. M., J. M. E. A. and L. H. Sprouses, all of Free Union. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Church of the Brethren, the service to be conducted by the paster, Rev. Mr. Maupin. Burial will be in the churchyard.
