Mr. Benjamin Franklin Kyle, 82, dies Sunday morning Nov 4, 1973, 11:20, at Hillcrest Hospital, following a lengthy period of poor health.

He was a retired barber and had living in Calhoun City for 60 years. He was a member of the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church and a Mason.

Born Oct 1, 1891 in Calhoun County, he was the son of David Alexander Kyle, a native of Tuscaloosa County, Ala. and Mary Betty Terry Kyle.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Clemmie Stribling Kyle; one son, Frank Kyle of Natchez; two brothers, David W. Kyle and James L. Kyle both of Houston; six sisters, Mrs. J. H. Adams of Shelby, Mrs. Cleo Grand and Mrs. Janie Brow, both of Memphis Tenn., Mrs. John Jameson of Tupelo, Mrs. C. L. White of Prairie and Mrs. James Bush of Little Rock, Ark.; and one granddaughter Beckie Kyle of Natchez.

Mr. Kyle was a former member of the School Board, serving in that capacity for a number of years and also served for a number of years as Alderman for the Town of Calhoun City.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City. Rev. Claude Johnson officiated, assisted by Re. Charles Brock. Burial was in Calhoun City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Z. K. Hardin, Dr. Carter Dobbs, Upton Cole, C. L. White, Kyle White, and Wesley Kyle.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Lewis Memorial Methodist Church Men's Sunday School Class, Roe Mitchell, Karl Wayne Easley, Jimmie Ramage. D. L. Harrison, Elbert Moore, Dr. W. J. Aycock, Carl Johnston, Sr.
