Chilton—(Special)—Mrs. John Sachs, of School Street here, died at her home this morning.
She was born Feb. 24, 1856, at New Holstein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus Lau,(sic) and was married to Mr. Sachs Dec. 21, 1877. They lived on a farm in the town of Eaton after their marriage, and then moved to Chilton in 1931. Mr. Sachs died April 24, 1934. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are the following children; Mrs. Henry Borchers, Dane County; Mrs. Theodore Steffes, Chilton; Miss Emma, at home, and Miss Irma, of Akron, Ohio. One son, Walter, died several years ago. A brother, John, of New Holstein, and one sister Mrs. Simon Aggen, also survive her.
The body is in state at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home here. Services will be held at the funeral home and at Trinity Presbyterian church. Burial will be made in New Holstein. The Rev. J. M. Ayers will officiate.
