John Lau, 83, died at 6 o'clock this morning at his home in New Holstein. He had been ill for the past 10 weeks.
Born at a farm home a mile north of New Holstein, where he lived for 73 years, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claus Lau. He was born on November 28, 1866. On March 5, 1892, he married Dorathea Schroeder in New Holstein.
His widow and a sister, Mrs. Cecilia Aggen of New Holstein, survive. Two sons died in infancy, while four brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home. The Rev. John Seidler will officiate and burial will be in the New Holstein cemetery.
