The deceased, nee Kloth, was born in Holstein, Germany, Aug 21, 1829. She came to America in 1854, to Calumet County. The following year, on May 4, she was united in marriage to Mr. Lau.
Five children survive her, namely; Peter, John, Mrs. Hans Wohlenberg, Mrs. Simon Aggen of New Holstein, and Mrs. John Sacks (sic) of Eaton. There are also 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The funeral services were held on Wednesday, with burial in the New Holstein cemetery. Rev. Plappert officiated.
