Mrs. Theodore Steffes, 74, of 233 Marygold St., Chilton, died Wednesday morning at Manitowoc Memorial Hospital. She had been hospitalized for two weeks.
The former Jennie Sachs, she was born August 26, 1883 in the town of Eaton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sachs. She was married to Theodore Steffes on May 31, 1924, at Chilton and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Chilton. Her husband died June 5, 1953.
Survivors include a stepson, Alphonse of Chilton; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Catherine Heimbach of Stockbridge and Mrs. Elsa Watson of Louisiana; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Borchers of DeForest, Wis., Miss Emma Sachs of Chilton and Miss Irma Sachs of Springfield, Ill.
Funeral services will be at Erbe-Hoffmann funeral Home in Chilton. The Rev. W. J. Griffith will officiate and burial will be in New Holstein cemetery.
