On Sunday, May 11, Claus Greve, a resident of New Holstein for 45 years, died of heart failure at his home at the age of 73 years.
He was born in Schleswig Holstein, Germany, Nov. 3, 1850. At the age of two years he came to this country with his parents, settling in Calumet county. In June, 1879 he married Minnie Greve, and the young couple came to New Holstein.
He is survived by his wife, four children, namely; Mrs. Emma Fluhr, Ewald and Hubert of New Holstein, and Otto of Stratford; also one sister, Mrs. Ann Kuehl and two brothers, Andrew and William, all of the village.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Plappert officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the New Holstein Cemetery.
