Thurmon M. Dasher, 80, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at Glenvue Nursing Home. The lifelong native of Tattnall County was a farmer and a businessman. He was a member of Mendes Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of Philadelphia Lodge #73, Scottish Rites 32 Degree, and a member of the Alee Shrine of Savannah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce W. Dasher, and son, Robert D. Dasher.
He is survived by children: R. Terry Waters (Pam), Kenneth Waters (Faye), and Connie Doolittle, all of Glennville; and T. Mark Dasher (Julie) of Reidsville; sisters, Dean King of Moultrie and Anne Norburg of Springfield; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, in the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Battle Creek Church Cemetery, with Masonic Rites.
Active pallbearers were Brad Dasher, Brandon Waters, Brett Holland, Ryan Waters, Lee Dasher, and Kyle Waters.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Glennville High School Class of 1946.
