He retired in 1969 from the Carnation Milk Company after many years as a truck driver.
He united in marriage to Mattie Russell on Jan. 26, 1932.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Helen, and Rosalyn; several other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Louise Ford Murrah, and one brother, Samuel Murrah.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Charles Music and Dr. Pat McDowell. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Elmore, Joe Holt, Jimmie Sapp, George Callison, Jimmie Conner and Glenn Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Newton, Joel Harris, Lyndon Benningfield, Malcolm Newton, Joey Sallee, Howard Feese, J. R.
