Helen Watson, 80, Knifley Road, Elkhorn, died at 5:29 a.m., Monday, Feb. 1, 1993, in Louisville due to a sudden illness. She was born Sept. 22, 1912, in Taylor County to the late Joseph Murrah and Massie Jones Murrah. Watson was a member of the Christie Chapel United Methodist Church. She was married to Ernest Watson Sept. 28, 1940, who preceded her in death June 5, 1978. Watson is survived by two sons and one daughter, Wendell Watson, Elkhorn, and Doug Wayne Watson and Jo Ann Gaddis, both of Campbellsville; one granddaughter and two grandsons, Kimberly K. Watson and Ryan Bland, both of Campbellsville, and Craig Bland, U. S. Army stationed in Saudi Arabia; one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson, Jessica Bland and Kyle Bland, both of Campbellsville; and one sister, Rosalyn Stewart, Lexington. The funeral was at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in the Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. Chandler Ford officiated.
